Had a dream involving me falling into water with a great white shark?

Question by Vincent Van Gogh: Had a dream involving me falling into water with a great white shark?
anyone know what this means…

I was on a pontoon (you know those platforms which are ontop of water where people park their boats) anyway it was a grey dark day with storm clouds. There was a great white shark in the water… as I was walking on the pontoon it suddenly rocked straight up and down – in the background I could hear an old coworker of mine saying “BE CAREFUL MATE – GET BACK ON” but it was too much he kept yelling my name and I fell in the water with the great white shark 🙁

then I woke up… why exactly did I have this dream?

Odd Dream About End Of World? Nightmare Maybe?

Question by Chas A: Odd Dream About End Of World? Nightmare Maybe?
Ok this is a bit long, but here goes.

There was this evil American terrorist that escaped from wherever he was hiding, and he threatened to use nukes on America. I was afraid it would be near fort knox kentucky, which would probably kill my husband and I as we live near it. I was terrified, but I for some reason, went to work 20 minutes from my home. My husband was home by himself, and I was afraid it we died it wouldn’t be together. Then there was a coal burning parade (this little platforms floated in space and made dark clouds with pictures in them) and one showed a 4, an open eye, an open door, and a closed eye (I later realized this mean foresee the coming darkness). Then people started dying, and my husband was somehow there, and we had to make a potion. The potion was made out of a satanic snake, and tomato sauce…. then the end of the world stopped and I woke up…

I’m a very religious person who rarely dreams anything bad… Any ideas?

Do you ever dream about Jesus?

Question by Lime Kitty – Atheati Emperor: Do you ever dream about Jesus?
Last night, Jesus came to me in a dream.

I said, “Hi, Jesus.”

And he said “Hi, Lime Kitty.”

And I said “What’s shakin’ big fella?”

And he said “I was thinking about coming back. But I’m afraid that if I come in on my flying cloud with my host of angels, the Air Force will detect us on radar. And since the cloud doesn’t have a radio I won’t be able to identify myself, and then they may launch missiles at us. I mean, seriously. I don’t even like iron chariots, you think I want a missile launched at me?”

I said, “That sounds like a serious problem, Jesus.”

Q&A: I had a dream. Can anyone interpet it at all? I was very interesting, but confusing.?

Question by detroit_lions2012: I had a dream. Can anyone interpet it at all? I was very interesting, but confusing.?
Last night, I had an odd dream. I was wondering if anyone could explain it at all. I don’t remember all of it (I have a hard time doing that). So here it is:
I was at this giant lake or ocean. It was during the day, but it was dark. There were clouds everywhere. On the shore, there was this giant wooden fortress/house built onto a cliff. Almost everyone I knew was there, either out on the water or walking through the cliffs and house. Then, out on the water a giant sea monster emerged from the water. Waves splashed out and hit the shore with force. A few of my friends were out on the water on these floating platforms (in the air, not on the water) and were fighting the monster. I raced through the house and tried to get everyone safe. I was knocked into the water and a huge cruise ship rescued me. Then the monster threw a rock at it and it sank. As I was being submerged with the boat, I slammed my eyes closed and imagined the dock. Next thing I knew, I was lying on the deck. I ran up and stood next to the stairs. I closed my eyes again and I was on top of the fortress, a platform in the cliff was right next to me with a large, mossy stone staircase leading up to it. A group of people walked up it and they started talking. Then I closed my eyes again to teleport and I didn’t go anywhere. Then, I fell off the cliff and landed safely on the ground. Another group of people walked by and one of my friends took out his trombone and started playing “Holiday in Cambodia”. For the rest of the dream, he showed up randomly and played the same thing. Soon after that, a fireball hit me and I hit it back. It hit the monster and then I woke up.

Sorry for how long it is, I tried to put as much details into it as I remember. Anyone have any answers?

Had a dream about falling in a helicopter. What does it mean?

Question by Pearl: Had a dream about falling in a helicopter. What does it mean?
Ok I need to make it clear that this is a dream i had a LONG time ago. Like when i was 5 or maybe 6 (i’m 14 now) but this dream has always been very clear in my mind. I had a recurring dream in the space of a few monthes, not ever night but regularly, and it was about falling. There was this playground near my house and it had a helicopter sort of jungle gym. Basically just a bunch of metal bars in the shape of a helicopter with a platform in the middle of it. So the dream was I would be hovering in the helicopter with my grandpa and then it would just start falling end over end quickly. I would be seeing this happening from third person not from my own eyes and it would be so fast that clouds would whiz upwards as we fell. Another interesting factor is our feet would never leave the platform even though we were spiraling. We stood in a casual stance the whole fall. When I’d wake up I’d always be sitting upright in the top corner of my bed. I was never particularly scared during the dream or when I woke up just confused. I remember looking both ways and crawling back under the covers each time and being totally fine. I know dreams of falling have some significance but really, I was 5, the thoughts going through my head were not very deep. Is there anything I can trace this dream back too? What was causing these subconscious thoughts all those years ago. I grew out of these dreams eventually but why does it stand out so well in my memory?

Dreams seem very real at a young age (especially between 5-7 years) because that’s when the majority of your brain is developing. That’s also the reason for kids waking with nightmares a lot at that age. I also have very clear dreams from back when I was young. The dream itself means nothing (as most dreams).

Religious dream?

Question by foxyrascal: Religious dream?
I’ve recently had a fall out with religion.
More recently I had a very strange dream. There was a large, marble platform in the sky, with caramel colored clouds surrounding it. I was sitting in the middle of the platform, with ten shrouded men around me, each chanting something from a tablet in what I assumed to be Hebrew. A number of elegant centaurs were at my 9:00, equipped with quivers of arrows and bows, and were on a higher pedestal than the men and I. At my 3:00 were more centaurs, with the same equipment, on a pedestal that was the same height as the other. Both groups of centaurs strung their bows, took aim, and fired a volley of arrows at the opposing centaurs. Many fell, but they kept firing until all were dead. Meanwhile, the chanting of the men grew louder until I woke up.
I have an idea that the dream has something to do with religion, or my lack thereof. It is, by far, the weirdest dream I’ve had in my life, and I’d like some insight as to what it could mean.

Dream Interpretation Help?

Question by Mr Tambourine Man: Dream Interpretation Help?
Could some who know what thy are talking about please help me understand the meaning of this dream I keep having…

It starts with me stood in an empty field, the grass is purple and the sky pink/yellow stripes, there is a group of 6/7 people stood just in my range of sight. Gradually these figures come towards me, I try to recognise the faces, I recognise two of the faces out of the group but cannot put names to the faces. These figures then start spinning in a circle around me, as they spin the faces keep changing. They spin faster and faster until they start to cut a hole in the ground. Eventually they disappear underground an I am left stood on a platform. The sky turns to fire clouds and two bunny rabbits appear from the ground between my legs. One of the rabbits talks to me a says something like “arruga dan spilkinholten, vista ra na tappy tappa” Then the sky fall away and leaves an image of a young child who claims to be my god. At this point I wake up.

I have never had vivid dreams like this and was wondering if there was any meaning behind this dream?

Answer by Zia Lucia
This is a very nice dream… but, Mr. Tambourine Man, are you sure you’re not taking us for a trip on your magic sailing ship? Zia Lucia can’t help but be suspicious, having been around the jingle-jangle morning a time or two. Truthfully, as I read this dream my first thought is to knock off the weed for a while.

But an interpretation you shall have:
The first image, the purple field with pink/yellow striped sky is a slightly altered rendering of the Arizona state flag – purple and pink replacing blue and red. I’m thinking this is sunrise. You might also notice that purple, pink and yellow are Easter colors, which works nicely with the bunnies and the newly manifested god-child.

The people dancing in a circle (clockwise or counter-clockwise?) and the rabbits are also Pagan images. The dancers are re-enacting the annual death and burial of the agricultural god, which coincides with the death and burial of Christ, celebrated annually by Christians. This is followed, on the Spring Equinox, by the rebirth of the agricultural god-child and the corresponding resurrection of Christ. Combined, you have a nice little synchronistic Pagan/Christian springtime sunrise celebration.

Spoiling all that nice mythological analysis, we cannot overlook the fact that the child in the sky is derived from the Star Child in 2001: A Space Odyssey. See Wikipedia article, linked below.

The only message this dream might have for you is that you need to explore your own spiritual tradition and personal beliefs more seriously in order to determine what you actually believe yourself, as opposed to what you have been taught as a child to believe. And you need to lay off the weed – if you are not using, check out what cold or allergy medication you might be using, or any “energy” drinks that could be messing with your head.
