Q&A: WHAT IS THIS POEM SAYING?

Question by : WHAT IS THIS POEM SAYING?
Forgive me for thinking I saw
the irregular postage stamp of death;
a black moth the size of my left
thumbnail is all I’ve trapped in the damask.
There is no need for alarm. And

there is no need for sadness, if
the rain at the window now reminds you
of nothing; not even of that
parlor, long like a nave, where cloud-shadow,
wing-shadow, where father-shadow
continually confused the light. In flight,
leaf-throng and, later, soldiers and
flags deepened those windows to submarine.

But you don’t remember, I know,
so I won’t mention that house where Chung hid,
Lin wizened, you languished, and Ming-
Ming hush-hushed us with small song. And since you
don’t recall the missionary
bells chiming the hour, or those words whose sounds
alone exhaust the heart–garden,
heaven, amen–I’ll mention none of it.

After all, it was just our life,
merely years in a book of years. It was
1960, and we stood with
the other families on a crowded
railroad platform. The trains came, then
the rains, and then we got separated.

And in the interval between
familiar faces, events occurred, which
one of us faithfully pencilled
in a day-book bound by a rubber band.

But birds, as you say, fly forward.
So I won’t show you letters and the shawl
I’ve so meaninglessly preserved.
And I won’t hum along, if you don’t, when
our mothers sing Nights in Shanghai.
I won’t, each Spring, each time I smell lilac,
recall my mother, patiently
stitching money inside my coat lining,
if you don’t remember your mother
preparing for your own escape.

After all, it was only our
life, our life and its forgetting.

Why are bacteria ruling this world and people calling themselves by names of animals?

cloud hosting

Question by experienced: Why are bacteria ruling this world and people calling themselves by names of animals?
Gods are bacterial vermins with ability to replicate themselves everywhere in our visual space. Their names are bacteria. Their characteristic is to multiply or replicate. They have no blood, no heart, no legs, no arm, and no organs. They are parasites that live on blood.

They create the 26 letters of the alphabet to name themselves. Two main groups calls earth. The other ones called themselves Mars, Venus, and other names. Everything that it sees, it claims. The blood group species, human, calls bacteria germs, viruses, bacteria, parasites, and other names because the blood group species is allergic to bacteria, the vermins that name themselves after the earth and the planets in space. They live on anything, but specifically decaying matter. They mimic everything, especially the dead, since the blood species love very much their own kind. Bacteria exploit this human weakness to the fullest. They makes themselves skins and can walk as in insects, crawl, fly as in roaches, flies, moths, and other vermins, rule earth as in human viruses, rule in heaven as in bacteria in the clouds, live in space as in the black hole, the asteroids, the comets and others, and live in us, human temples, as viruses. They keep the flame planet, which they called sun, prisoner, and all the other bacterial planets are there to guard the flame planet until it dies. Bacteria do not need the flame planet since bacteria love dark and shady places.

The blood group species is prisoner of bacteria since they breathe and eat bacteria and is infected. Since bacteria live on blood, the blood group species become the bloodbank of bacteria and as well its mercenaries. As we can see, Earth is ruled by re and ra, which name, earth, is their scrambled name. Everything from there is named after bacteria. For example, if your name is Gerard, you have two group of viruses living in you, which they consider their temples, ra and re. These two groups of bacteria give you multiple personalities because they continually fight for ownership of the temple. These two group of bacteria live by the religious books,

Since bacteria’s characteristic is to multiply, so they have to use the host to go out and recruit. They multiply in many ways: self- replication, mating, spreading the words, stealing, kidnapping, and many other means necessary.

Means used to rule: Brute force, deceit when necessary. Bacteria use the host to kill their species. Bacteria live on sacrifice, since all sacrifice require bloodshed. The bloodless species practice self-sacrifice since they claim to go to live in the clouds, their heaven after they die. That is why there is always war on bacterial earth to keep the blood going (bacteria love to drink blood since they don’t have blood of their own); the oil flowing (human death causes oil prosperity for bacteria); the clouds hanging over our head (since barbecued flesh causes smoke which rises to the clouds, which in turn causes the clouds to be fit thrones for bacteria above, which live by smell of smoke flesh of the blood group species).
People call themselves by the name of animals depending on which parasites from which animals are living on them and ruling them.

What is this online stick figure game called?

Question by teeny-chan <3: What is this online stick figure game called?
You have to draw a stick figure first. The commands after that are like, draw a balloon, draw some rain clouds and draw a sword (not sure of order). The really cool thing about it was that they actually animated (albeit crudely) your drawings to make them move. Also, the game was hosted on it’s own website.

Q&A: Where can I find hosting for this?

Question by graham_howden1: Where can I find hosting for this?
I need somewhere to host applications running in Java 24/7 with access to the internet (and IRC) as well as local storage. Is using a cloud the only option here (as a dedicated server is far too expensive for what I need) or is there another way of doing this? Also could you point me somewhere where it is reasonably cheap. Thanks a lot.

Graham
This is not for ‘servlets’ I think they are called, this is for some scripts I have that connect to IRC servers. I don’t know what servlets are. I need something to run a standard Java program 24/7

I use these guys: www.dailyrazor.com

They have a pretty good java support, and their admins helped me out many times. They are reasonably cheap, too.

Opinions on this please?

Question by Emily: Opinions on this please?
Yes, I’m back with yet another start to yet another story. Please be honest 🙂 Thank you.

I stared at the rippling sky blue water. The surface danced with the iridescence of diamonds, plucking at the edges of my reflection with a fragile touch as the current pulled the babbling water downstream. Faded images of soft sea grass wiped away the imperfections from my wavering image. Perfection stared back at me. I picked up a sand polished stone from the river bank and turned it over in my palm. The surface was a flawless canvas. I closed my hand around the stone and tried to picture defacing it. Cracks coiled outwards like a spider web. The glowing honey-amber color began to fade and dark scars were scratched into its tormented face. Yet, as quick as the imperfections appeared, they receded into their host.
I opened my hand. The stone remained as the stone began. Perfect. Not even my mind could break the hold it had on my life. With a half hearted throw I tossed the stone into the river. It broke through the surface with ease, shattering my perfect face into puzzle pieces. Moments later the picture was once again mocking me. No gash across my face. No blood. No scars. No trace.
I was tired of looking perfection in the eyes. Yet I could never look away. Everywhere I turned I saw it; dazzling, beautiful, mesmerizing perfection. The sky was so blue; too blue. It was like someone had pulled a paint brush across a page to create a coating of unblemished color. The clouds were crafted of woven silk and dipped in creamy ivory. Each blade of grass shimmered with a glow that could only be described as unbelievable. The air I breathed managed to acquire perfection; the ideal balance of oxygen and nitrogen that allowed life to be lived to its fullest. Even my own reflection was bound by its harsh laws. I was a prisoner.
